HK Eats- Cafe Deadend and Via Tokyo

I dragged my mom to hike 20 minutes uphill to go to Cafe Deadend in Sheung Wan. I follow a couple of Hong Kong foodies on instagram and this place always pops up on my feed.
My mom had an iced latte ($45 HKD), while I ordered a hot one ($40 HKD). Both were excellent, and I'd have it again in a heart beat.

Winterlicious lunch @ Auberge du Pommier

I've featured Auberge du Pommier on my blog a couple of times now, so I'm going to keep the writing minimal and let the pictures speak for themselves. This was another Winterlicious lunch, priced at $25 per person.
Salt-baked potato soup- bacon lardons, candied onions, XO Gouda

Winterlicious @ L'Unità Enoteca

I'm so backlogged with blogging that I'm only now starting to write about Winterlicious back in early February. When it comes to the 'licious events, I always have my old favourites, but I make sure to try at least one new place each year. This time, I checked out l'Unità with a girl friend, a place that I've been wanting to try for quite some time. Dinner here was priced at $35 per person.
We were pretty hungry by the time any food hit the table so we pretty much inhaled the bread. While the bread was nothing to write home about, the accompanying olive oil was excellent.
Arancini bolognese- tomato sugo & parmigiano
The arancini came piping hot and were absolutely delicious- crispy on the outside, and meaty in the centre. I would eat this any day.
