I've featured Auberge du Pommier on my blog a couple of times now, so I'm going to keep the writing minimal and let the pictures speak for themselves. This was another Winterlicious lunch, priced at $25 per person.
Salt-baked potato soup- bacon lardons, candied onions, XO Gouda
Salmon rillette- cornichon, capers, dill crème fraîche, O&B artisan pretzel bread
Roasted Ontqrio pork belly- green lentils, mustard greens, glazed carrot, whole grain mustard cream
Gnocchi à la Parisienne- chicken leg confit, cipollini onions, spinach, apple cider glaze
Chocolate pavé- passion fruit marshmallow, pistachio, passion fruit sauce
Cardamon crème brûlée- vanilla streusel, citrus salad, and grapefruit gastrique
My favourites include the potato soup and the gnocchi, which I wished came hotter. Needless to say, I had a wonderful lunch here and and it really is a lovely venue for a romantic date.
