Breakfast @ Pranzo (Adelaide)

My next stop after Sydney was Adelaide, where my sister was studying at Carnegie Mellon's Heinz College campus. When it comes to food, Adelaide was a lot less exciting compared to Sydney, but we managed to find a couple of hidden gems. First stop- brunch at an Italian restaurant called Pranzo in the city centre (hence all the diners were wearing suits).
My sister walked past this restaurant everyday to school but has never tried it (probably because it is quite pricey). We decided to order from the breakfast menu since it is significantly cheaper.
My sister had a cappuccino and I had a flat white. Both were very good, and I especially liked the presentation of the cappuccino (picture on right).
Poached eggs on house made brioche with hollandaise and grilled bacon ($14.9 AUD) sounded divine, and we were fairly happy with our choice. The egg was poached perfectly with a golden runny yolk, but the bacon and the hollandaise together were a little too salty for me. However, this would be a great hangover breakfast dish.
I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast pizza, featuring egg, bacon, mushroom and roasted tomato ($14.9 AUD). Nothing really stood out for me on this pizza, and I couldn't really taste the eggs. I much preferred the other item that we ordered.
We could barely finish a third of the pizza, so the rest was packed to go. All in all, I thought that this restaurant was pricey and nothing special. If I had a second chance, I probably wouldn't come back.
