麵屋一平安 Ippei-An Ramen & Bar and Chez Shibata @ Elements

After a fun-filled day at Disneyland Hong Kong (yes... I went to Disneyland...), we decided to have dinner at the mall so we could get a little shopping done. We stumbled upon Ippei-An Ramen and decided to try it out. First up, we ordered tofu served on hot plate (鐵板豆腐). The tofu had good flavours, but I would prefer the texture to be softer. As well, my dining companion complained that the tofu wasn't hot enough, despite being served on a hot plate.
We also sampled the Higomonzu ramen (特製什錦豬骨湯拉麵), which basically has a bit of everything in it. I remember that this was pretty good and particularly satisfying after a long day at Disneyland (in which there were no good food). However, it's not the best ramen that I've had.
Pork katsu curry rice (咖哩豬扒飯) also hit the spot, but didn't really stand out either. The curry was too sweet for my liking.
For dessert, we ventured to Chez Shibata for their famed French desserts. I chose to get La Venus (女神特濃朱古力慕絲蛋糕)- bitter sweet chocolate mousse, dark cherries, raspberry fruit filling and bavarois. The cake was so beautiful that I didn't want to eat it. Did it taste as good as it looks? Perhaps not, but it was still a really good cake. It was super chocolatey and creamy! Love love love!
