翡翠拉麵小籠包 Crystal Jade @ Harbour City

I completely fell in love with this place after tasting the pork dumplings here. There are several locations of Crystal Jade in Southeast Asia, and there is one RIGHT beside the Toast Box at Times Square. I could have had a much more enjoyable meal had I walked a couple of meters to eat at Crystal Jade instead of the Toast Box! What a shame.
For some reason, they won't let me take photos of the menu, but I managed to snap one shot. Oh well! At least they let me take pictures of the actual food!
The Spicy Beef La Mien (or ramen) (水煮牛肉拉麵) was delicious! I loved the oily, spicy broth (but it could have been spicier!) and the braised beef shank was also very tender and flavourful. As well, the Chinese-style la mien was springy and very enjoyable. I personally still prefer Japanese ramen more, but this kind of noodle worked well with the spicy broth.
I'm head over heels for the Shanghainese pork dumplings (上海小籠包). It's the best I had in Hong Kong, even topping those from Ding Tai Fong. The skin is perfectly delicate and the filling is super juicy and just bursting with flavour. The combination of skin, filling, and soup is just magical! We had to get a second order of this.
Pan-fried pork dumpling (生煎包) was also satisfying, though not as extraordinary as the other two items that we ordered. But on the whole, it was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to go back to stuff myself with more pork dumplings!
