Dinner @ Restoran Malaysia

Restoran Malaysia is my go-to place for delicious, reliable Southeastern Asian Cuisine! So I paid a visit with my family on the night before my trip to Asia. I come here on a regular basis, so I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. The first is Roti Telor and Curry Chicken: stuffed roti with eggs, chopped onion and sliced chili. Although on paper, it seems like a winning combination, I actually prefer just to plain roti to accompany the curry.
Rendang Minang- Daging (Beef): cooked slowly over low fire in a sauce of coconut, galangal, lemongrass, tumeric and numerous spices till tender. The meat is so tender that it disintegrates at the touch of a fork. The intense flavour of the sauce is perfect with rice or roti.
Restoran Malaysia's version of the Pad Thai-- Stir fried noodle with egg, shrimp, chicken and vegetables with tangy sweet sauce, topped with crush peanuts and coriander--is my absolute favourite. I usually don't like to eat too much noodles in one meal because it's too filling, but I just can't stop myself from eating more of this! That tangy sweet sauce is just so addictive, and the plate as a whole is not overly greasy.
Singapore Chicken Rice: Steamed chicken served with steamed rice cooked in chicken broth and homemade chili sauce. The chicken is incredibly tender and this kind of "chicken fat" rice is always so addictively delicious. I can eat a whole meal of just the rice.
This was actually my first time having dessert here, and we opted for roti with condensed milk and banana. You can't really go wrong with that combination, and i will basically eat anything with condensed milk slathered on it. This was a really heavy dessert, and after all that delicious food, I could only manage a small bite. All in all, it was an extremely satisfying meal.
